How do you follow an airborne proposal? (Myles popped the question to Bailey in a helicopter!) Try a series of waterside engagement portraits, like these two did. Bailey and her groom-to-be met up with Sumter, South Carolina-based Megan Manus Photography at the City Marina downtown, where, backdropped by countless yachts and sailboats and surrounded by the glistening waters of the Ashley River, they strolled the floating docks hand-in-hand. Next, the happy couple, who will move here after tying the knot in September, strolled some of the Holy City’s most picturesque streets so Megan could capture the two amidst flowering window boxes and next to iron gates before all headed to the sandy shores of Folly Beach as the day winded down and the sun’s magic hour of fading, rosy light hit. Can we all just take a moment to marvel at the driftwood that the lovebirds posed under (looks like a wedding arbor, doesn’t it)? Between that and a little cameo from the Morris Island Lighthouse I’m smitten.
