21 Apr Babette & Landon {Legare Waring House}
Here’s your chance to stop and smell the roses without even stepping away from your keyboard. Thanks to Babette and Landon’s wedding day at the historic Legare Waring House, it’s as easy as scrolling. For the Texan natives, a serious case of wanderlust married a strong desire for a casual outdoor atmosphere and led them to the Holy City for their nuptials. Priscilla Thomas was there to capture the beauty of it all from start to finish, starting beneath the peaceful solace of a canopy of oak trees where the pair said “I do!’ among a gathering of family and friends. (To honor her late father, Babette wrapped the stem of her broach bouquet, which was designed by her mother, with a swatch of fabric from one of his favorite shirts.) After the ceremony, the newlyweds and crew celebrated amid a romantic palette of soft pink, pale teal, white and grey. WildFlowers Inc. teamed white roses, baby’s breath, and pink peonies nestled in beds of Spanish moss for a fresh, out-of-the-garden look that inspired Ashley Nicole Events’ fresh and innovative ideas that were a mix of modern and vintage. All in all, their take has me weak in the knees. Babette and Landon, all the happiness to you both!
