10 Feb Anne & Kurtis {William Aiken House}
When it comes to your wedding day, don’t be afraid to think outside the seasonal box. Just ask Anna and Kurtis, who dressed their January fête at the William Aiken House (which is part of our all-star series from Charleston Weddings) in autumnal hues like rich copper, moody burgundy, and cool mint. The couple—who met soon after both moved to the Holy City—enlisted Loluma to bring to life a crisp affair filled with singular touches, such as floating flower blooms in crystal vessels (très chic!), an aisle dressed with an antique rug and a runner of ombré orange rose petals, and a natural recast of the traditional flower-girl basket courtesy of a cone of dried grapevine. Perhaps the best part of it all? Anne and Kurtis say that they chose their downtown venue so they could one day walk their children by it and tell them all about their wedding. How heartwarming is that!?
