10 Sep Amy & Jake {Engagement Session}
When Jillian of Aaron and Jillian Photography shared Amy and Jake’s engagement session with us, she mentioned how excited she was to be shooting photos of two Charleston natives. Given the Lowcountry is such a hotspot for destination weddings, and how many residents have relocated here in recent years, it isn’t often that couples—both halves, no less—are born and raised on our cobblestone-, pluff mud-, and slow-paced way of life. So it was, though, for Amy and Jake, who grew up and went to school here, and then felt sparks fly when they were reunited years later. After their romance culminated in Jake’s proposal, they took a break from planning their Old Wide Awake Plantation wedding and met up with Aaron and Jillian downtown for some sweet portraits against the backdrop of beautiful homes and oak-shaded streets of their beloved hometown. Before the sun set, the quartet hightailed it to Folly Beach where Amy and Jake did a quick “costume” change to pass the late afternoon walking hand-in-hand and snapping the perfect “Save the Date” photo. Absolute best of luck to these two Charlestonians on their upcoming, sure-to-be stunning wedding.
