Welcome to preppy perfection, compliments of Allison and Charlie’s navy and white celebration at the Governor Thomas Bennett House. On one of those warm and cloudless Charleston days, the couple kicked things off with a first look snapped by photographer Dana Cubbage alongside the stately downtown home’s the quaint white fence. After that big-time icebreaker, they moved into the garden to trade vows by the fountain. There, Mac & B Events had laid programs boasting a stripe motif (used throughout the event) on guests’ seats and lined the aisle with blush flower petals. Following the ceremony, bright pink berry cocktails were served in Mason jars while Allison and Charlie headed up to the porch to cut their beautiful bloom-covered cake while everyone watched from below. What a fun idea! Once the couple had been officially announced as Mr. & Mrs. and welcomed into their reception tent, Crave Charleston Catering served up a delicious meal to guests who both dined under the tent and enjoyed an al-fresco meal under the bistro lights. Crisp white linens, navy napkins, and bold preppy arrangements of pink and green florals by Charleston Flower Market—I think it’s safe to say that our wedding week is off to the loveliest of starts!
