27 Jul Abigail and Chris {Winyah Bay}
Now at the tippy top of smitten list are real weddings…and we really like to travel…a lot! This little charmer designed by Yoj Events is the perfect remedy for both. Chris and Abigail’s nuptials were just a were bit down the road at Winyah Bay. Candice of Yoj Events shared some fab insights about the big day {yep, you guessed it we are smitten with guest bloggers too!}
“...For this hip and stylish fête, everything for the day was built around the fashion of the wedding party with pale colors being layered on to compliment and enhance their simple and sophisticated palette.
For the ceremony, the vintage flair was pulled in with a pair of antique chandeliers decked out in in simple roses and green. A jazz guitarist left everything oozing cool as he serenaded the processing bridal party with everything from Somewhere Over the Rainbow to some picks from Band of Horses. From the custom vest for the groom to the perfectly produced headbands for the flower girls, every ensemble was personalized and detailed.
As a sweet video of the bride and groom entertained guests in the cocktail hour, large blooms of garden roses and floating pillars dotted the pool and had guests look on to the gorgeous views of Winyah Bay. As guests entered the dinner tent, Palmetto Soul kicked things up a notch and guests were seated to beautiful place cards and tables named after the family pets- a nod to the couples love of animals. Chris spent time creating beautiful papers that only made his bride love him more.
Mini tarts in vintage fruit crates had everyone getting their fill of sweets. Pops of pink in small glass votives cups in bud vases throughout the space kept everything from seeming too monotone, and moss on tables as runners brought the green of the beautiful setting up to the forefront. The photo table greeted guests with fun polaroids but also vintage picture frames and a gorgeous wedding album of handmade papers.
Not only was it a beautiful evening but a fun one, as everyone danced long past departure time. Once the bride and groom were worn out, everyone bid adieu in vintage wedding fashion with simple wedding rice and a fantastic vintage car provided by a friend of the family…”
