10 Jul Abby & Casey | Historic Rice Mill
Do you guys know about the “Folly boat?” Just before you cross onto nearby Folly Beach, there’s this washed up dinghy on the side of the road, and it’s covered—truly, covered top to bottom—in hand-painted messages that change week in and out. Thank goodness Abby looked up from her beach read (the September issue of Vogue) just in time to catch what Casey had painted on the boat—a proposal! Moments later, he pulled over, got down on one knee, and serenaded her with a song he had written. Wowza, that’s a whole lotta romance packed into one jaunt. The dreaminess kept on coming when the Big Day rolled around and everyone gathered at with the Historic Rice Mill this past April. Abby and Casey’s celebration featured mint-hued Lela Rose bridesmaids frocks, a vintage-style tiered cake with columns (love it), and gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces. Oh, and we’d be amiss not to mention Abby’s incredible gown paired with that stunner of a custom veil made by local designer Emily Kotarski. Amazing, right?
