We’ve got another Tinder meetup turned love story for the books. Take it back to Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 2016 where Sarah was mid-OBGYN residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She jumped on Tinder, swiped right on Andrew, and met him a few days later for their first date at a Greenville Drive game. A few weeks later, they made it official before Sarah moved to Charleston, and they then started long-distance dating for a year. A year-ish after their start, Andrew moved to Charleston and they became dog parents to the sweetest pup, Lola. Fast-forward one more year to Sarah’s family beach house in Connecticut. Before dinner, Andrew took Sarah to the beach to recreate the sunset photo they have hanging in their condo down south. After one photo, Sarah’s sister insisted they take another. But when Sarah turned around, Andrew was on one knee with a ring. Of course Sarah said, “Yes.” Thanks to the Medical University of South Carolina, the lovely couple was able to meet, so it only seemed right to have their wedding ceremony at St. Luke’s Chapel on the campus, with a reception at The William Aiken House to follow. “It literally felt like an (almost) flawless day,” says bride Sarah. This “almost” is describing the bloopers of the day, including Sarah’s trip on the stairs during the ceremony, the 10 month old flower girl getting “accidentally” hit on the head by her sister, a groomsman’s lost tie and pocket square, a nearly broken seating chart, and a wedding that almost happened without the wedding bands. The way we see it, these moments are what make everything memorable.
