Alright brides, go ahead and pull up your Pinterest boards because here comes a nautical-tinged, sunny styled shoot at The Historic Rice Mill that you’ll for sure want to steal ideas from. Photographer Alex Thornton teamed up with Anna Glac of AnnaBella Florals to design this uplifting event that we especially dig for a brunch (or lunch) wedding. With its color palette inspired by that stunning, ambient light being waterside brings, the reception stylings are airy, crisp, and clean—just the thing needed for a post amidst today’s midsummer heat. Truth be told, around the office we’re split on what wins out as the best idea herein. One half says it’s those charming individual cakes from Sablée with different colored blooms on each. (Admittedly it’s lunchtime as we’re prepping this post and some of us have gone off sugar for the umpteenth time …) And the other half says it’s those bottled messages the model couple shares while aboard Fate from Charleston Sailing Charters. “The idea is for a couple to have a really special and romantic moment out on the water,” Alex tells us of those images and the scenario that’d be tops for a first look or post-ceremony portrait sesh.
