21 Jun Beth & Mark | Boone Hall Plantation
High school sweethearts Beth and Mark met in a computer class (she, just a mere freshman and he, a sophomore) but it wasn’t until a few years later, when Mark was a senior and a peer teacher in Beth’s Geometry class, that he struck up the courage to ask her to accompany him on a date. Safe to say everything about that first night out added up as the twosome dated 10 years before their sweeter than a sweet proposal. One auspicious night, where nothing seemed out of the ordinary, Mark took it upon himself to whip up a favorite meal of Beth’s, even baking a cheesecake for dessert, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. (A man who can cook and bake? Sounds like a keeper to me.) After a “Yes!” from Beth, the Chattanooga, Tennessee natives selected our beloved Charleston to host their “I do’s.” Since neither prefers the spotlight, they opted for a smaller, more intimate wedding with 14 of their closest family and friends (and of course, their precious pup, Daisy) at Boone Hall Plantation. “As soon as our ceremony started, I didn’t notice anyone else in the room,” Beth tells us. “We both just focused on each other and in that moment, nothing else mattered.” Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
