11 Jun Katherine & Tyler | The Cedar Room
While out with friends one evening, Katherine, a kindergarten teacher from Nashville, Tennessee, gave her number to a handsome West Point alum named Tyler. They hit it off, and, after two years of dating, Tyler asked Katherine’s father for permission to marry her. And while Katherine’s not a Charleston local, she certainly worked the city like one. Catch this: On the Big Day, she rented out the carriage house on the grounds of the William Aiken House. Not only did they have the prime spot as their prep pad, they also scored access to the mansion and grounds for portraits. Brilliant! (This special deal is available when there are no competing events booked for the home.) After Tyler and Katherine met at the Second Presbyterian Church for their ceremony, the duo invited their guests to join them at The Cedar Room where Beth LeonGuerrero from Wildflowers Inc. had filled the chic downtown spot with breathtaking greenery and decor in stone grays and blues.
