25 Apr Hilary & Duncan | Seabrook Island Club
As a Kentucky native and Starbucks lover myself, I am head over feels for Hilary and Duncan’s story. The two first crossed paths waiting in line at a Chicago Starbucks, where Hilary, who had just moved to the Windy City from The Bluegrass State, ordered her usual Cool-Lime Refresher. That prompted Duncan to blurt, “Lime-flavored coffee?!” to which Hilary replied that Starbucks sells more than just coffee. Duncan, who noticed she was holding a stack of real estate listings, told her that he was interested in selling some family property. (Spoiler alert: It was a ruse to score her phone number.) That move kicked off a three-year courtship, capped when Duncan popped the question at the Keeneland Racetrack in Hilary’s home state. For the Big Day, the twosome hosted a ceremony and reception at Seabrook Island Club artfully designed by Bouquets and Bowties and captured oh-so-skillfully by Dana Cubbage. Congratulations to these two—I wish you a lifetime of lattés and refreshers together!
