To start your work week off on a sweet note, we’re diving into Abby and Kyle’s ever-so charming love story. These two first crossed paths three years ago, then reconnected a year and a half ago and bonded over their fondness for the outdoors—boating in the Lowcountry (where she lived) and hiking through the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina (where he lived). State borders couldn’t keep these two apart as they dated long-distance for six months before Kyle popped the question. Since Abby hails from the Holy City, the duo chose Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, a verdant venue that synced perfectly with, in the bride’s words, a “romantic Southern garden party” theme. A stately bar with embellished boxwood backdrop and delicious bite-sized hors d’oeuvres à la B. Gourmet Catering greeted guests at the cocktail hour and gorgeous Ashley River views created a reception setting that guests oohed and aahed over. As for their first dance, the pair chose “You Make It Look So Easy” by Eric Church, a favorite of theirs with oh-so fitting lyrics for the first twirl as newlyweds.
