26 Mar Ilanna & Chris | The River Course at Kiawah Island
While it wasn’t exactly love at first sight between Connecticut residents Ilanna and Chris, who met at their first job post-graduation, it was definitely “love at first date,” says Ilanna. The two held hands through an hours-long meal that, shock-of-shocks for anyone who knows him, Chris didn’t even finish. The two then dated for a little more than a year and-a-half before he invited her on a trip with his family to Kiawah Island. One start-and-stop day later (hello, airplane mechanic, tough-to-wake fiancé-to-be, and on), and the two were on the beach. As for Chris, he says he was thrilled he didn’t drop the ring in the sand, and Ilanna? She was simply thrilled. The following fall they returned to the Lowcountry and The River Course at Kiawah to exchange vows. Stunning florals from Palmetto Bloom and a beautiful wedding design from the team at A Charleston Bride were all in place, but what we can’t get enough of are the couple shots from amelia + dan. Ilanna’s sister, Whitney, even noted in her speech that “These two look at each other like no one else is in the room.” Just how it should be! Cheers to the newlyweds and may we wish you both a lifetime of continued happiness.
