22 Sep Gillian & Lee | The Wickliffe House
Talk about a pair of jet-setters. Gillian met Lee through mutual friends while on a visit to La-la land (that’s Los Angeles, for all you East Coasters). Sparks flew so brightly, she moved from San Antonio, Texas, to be nearer to him. Her leap of faith panned out and on a getaway to Laguna Beach, Lee popped the question while he and Gillian strolled the Thousand Steps Beach. Clearly they are a duo destined for a destination wedding, so it only made sense they and their guests packed up and headed to the Holy City for the Big Weekend where the festivities were a family affair all-around: Gillian’s brother and uncle built the chuppah; Lee’s uncle officiated; and in keeping with Lee’s family traditions, the happy couple was toasted with a tequila shot during the ceremony. (Definitely a tradition we could get behind!) This pastel, alfresco wedding downtown at The Wickliffe House has us dreaming of spring, jetting off for a weekend, and café lighting all rolled into one.
