19 Jul Shannon & Drew | The Cedar Room
Shannon and Drew met on a blind date that was apparently pretty darn successful. Later, in 2016, Shannon was flying back to Charleston after a work trip. Exiting the airport gate, she, a dazed traveler, says she saw a guy holding a sign, then she read the sign, then she realized the guy was her guy, then she saw him get down on one knee. If it sounds like she was sleepwalking through a dream, it was only the start. Just take a look at their elegant, Southern, and urban Big Day at The Cedar Room. Once Shannon had slipped on a stunning lace Anne Barge gown, she met up with Drew before the ceremony. (We’re digging Drew’s dapper groom look with that sharp blue suit, feather bow tie, and boutonniere wrapped in copper wire—too cool!) After vows at Grace Episcopal Church, Shannon and Drew led their guests to the Old Cigar Factory on East Bay Street. Inside their venue, natural-stained chiavari chairs, soft blush linens, and blooming centerpieces added softness. Guests dined on Southern fare, threw down to the sounds of Permanent Vacation, and, when their feet were tired, took a break at one of the multiple lounge areas throughout the space. Photographer Dana Cubbage says this wedding was joyful from beginning to end, and judging from these dreamy pictures, we couldn’t agree more!
