25 Feb Jennifer & Ryan {Rushland Plantation Pavilion}
The Lowcountry is able to cater to every type of wedding—big or small, modern or vintage, DIY or professionally planned—and with the rolling marshes, cobblestoned streets, and moss-draped live oaks framing so many of the venues, any Big Day here is already off to an amazing start. Jennifer and Ryan’s family affair at Rusland Plantation Pavilion on John’s Island proves this Charleston truth a hundred times over. Their wedding, shot by amelia + dan photography, was both romantic and relaxed, and punctuated with Mason jars of saffron-colored florals, a Sugar Bakeshop cake topped with succulents, and lanterns and candles at every turn. We wish we’d been there to enjoy the festivities, and to try out the food, especially—turns out Ryan’s brother is a chef at Voysey’s at Cassique, and he tackled the catering. Yum all around!
