You know that cute saying, “she leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes?” Well, never has it been truer than with what you are about to see in today’s fancy affair starring Megan and Keith—yet another from our Charleston Weddings all-star series. It will come as no surprise that gold is bride Megan’s favorite hue (hello, gold spray-painted bouquet by WildFlowers Inc.). Add the fact that the couple’s planner, Francesca DiSalvo-Follmer of Pure Luxe Bride, has a flair for designing glamorous fêtes rife with metallic details, and let’s just say this wedding has every bit of the golden touch. To strike a balance between the opulence of the William Aiken House (note those gilded frames and embroidered draperies) and the wedding’s chief color, the team of matrimonial maestros accented the reception with black, white, and verdant green, and added softening, feminine touches, like the floral topper gracing Sablee’s sugar-paste creation. It seems this pair of Texans struck gold twice—once with this wedding and, too, in finding each other. Cheers to the newlyweds!
