05 Dec Callie & Adam {Ashley Hall}
Oh goodness, do we have a treat for you today! Tucked away behind beautiful iron gates on Rutledge Avenue lies Ashley Hall, a private school boasting some of the most breathtaking live oaks in town as well as the McBee House, which features a spectacular staircase, decadent plaster work, and a color scheme pulled directly from Charleston’s historic palettes. (Check out the fashion shoot our parent title, Charleston Weddings did there a while back.) It’s no wonder that Ashley Hall alum, Callie, wanted to celebrate her wedding day here. Once she and her maids had readied at the McBee house, she and Adam tied the knot a few blocks away at St. Luke’s Chapel. Afterward, guests headed back to the one-time girls boarding school grounds for a beautiful tented reception on Senior Lawn, where all enjoyed Southern fare from Salthouse Catering and a divine cake from WildFlour Pastry while enjoying a dear time celebrating the newlyweds. Our favorite shot by Anne Rhett Photography? Hard to pick one, but the final one of Callie and Adam watching their wedding party above from the grand balcony of the McBee House was utterly picture perfect!
