Heather knew just what she wanted for her wedding to Eddie at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens—a dressy garden party with a relaxed atmosphere. With the help of Caroline of Engaging Events, her Big Day dreams were granted and then some. The pair started the night off tying the knot on the plantation’s riverside Carriage House lawn, in front of guests who took their seats beneath shady umbrellas as the sounds of Charleston Virtuosi took over. With the formalities accomplished, the newlyweds welcomed everyone into the Carriage House proper, which had been transformed into a romantic garden party setting with ivory fabric draped from the rafters, greenery dripping from the chandeliers, and countless botanicals on every surface. To keeping the laidback vibe going, Heather and Eddie opted for a tiered donut display rather than a traditional wedding cake—mmmm! Heather’s advice to all of you brides-to-be? “Aside from having an amazing coordinator, establish your own expectations and plan a wedding you would want to attend.” We couldn’t agree more!
