23 May Anna & Kevin {Lowndes Grove Plantation}
When it came time for Kevin to pop the questions to Anna, it seemed only natural that it would happen on a boat docked at Patriots Point where the couple had met just 14 months before at the happy hour concert series Party at the Point. Following the surprise proposal, Kevin took Anna to her sister’s house, where all of their families were waiting to celebrate. The romance continued months later at their Lowndes Grove Plantation wedding planned and designed by Sweetgrass Social. Crossback chairs lined tables adorned with bright pink napkins, brass lanterns, and wildly textured florals by Branch Design Studio. More lanterns hung from the live oak branches lighting guests’ way down to a waterside lounge, while inside the house a Lowcountry-themed cake with bands of sweetgrass (made by PPHG’s talented pastry chef, Jessica Grossman) awaited one and all. Our favorite moment captured by deft shutterbug Evan Laettner, however, has to be the romantic dance that Anna and Kevin shared under the bistro lights on the banks of the Ashley River. Just perfect. Cheers to the newlyweds!
