25 May Bliss & Bespoke Welcome Dinner {The Gadsden House}
Hump day strikes again! Let’s climb out of the mid-week rut together and take a gander at something a little out of the ordinary. How does some gorgeous tablescape inspiration sound—lovely, right? The ladies—visionaries, we should say—behind Bliss & Bespoke, Charleston’s premier all-women wedding planner retreat, threw the dinner party of your (my!) dreams this past fall at the newly renovated, historic Gadsden House . The 19th century home stands tall in three stories of “paperwhite” walls and serves as the ideal blank slate to complement lavish affairs. Dining tables teeming with gilded flatware and plum silken linens from Silk and Willow filled the first floor, and upstairs, a cushy velvet lounge setup beckoned attendees to meet and greet under an antique crystal chandelier. The night’s inviting, autumnal color palette, along with the help of dozens of matching candles and über romantic florals courtesy of Stephanie Gibbs Events, added another dose of elegance to the already charming space. As the hours flew by, as they do when in good company, friends new and old toasted to divine design in the Holy City and had a blissful evening indeed!
