What a story we have for you today, darlings! Dear Tracy and Matt were wedding victims of the infamous 1,000 year flood we experienced in Charleston this past October, causing them to not only cancel their Saturday wedding at the Cedar Room due to the city being shut down, but even worse, with Tracy stuck on the peninsula and Matt at his parents’ home on James Island, the two didn’t even get to see each other that day. But fear not, their amazing troupe of wedding vendors and their wonderful families were there to save the day, well, next day, that is! On Sunday, after navigating through the flooded Lowcountry streets, Tracy met Matt in his parent’s living room at the end of a makeshift ceremony aisle. Blooms by Pretty Petals miraculously made their way from Summerville to James Island while Jen Smith of Carolina Photosmith, Mike Winship Productions, and Cakes by Kasarda all caravanned to the island home to make the wedding happen. Megawatt smiles, tears of joy, and a serious dance party in the garage are just a few of the reasons that their amazing success story is giving us all the feels today!
