10 Aug Claiborne & Pierre {Old Wide Awake Plantation}
Be still my wedding-loving heart. Claiborne and Pierre’s nuptials at Old Wide Awake Plantation most certainly set the beauty bar this week. The couple, College of Charleston students who met while studying abroad in Chile, worked with the talented ladies of Gathering Floral + Event Design to create their dream celebration complete with whimsical blooms, thoughtful details, and plenty of romance. Once they had been named husband and wife in front of one of the property’s most magnificent oaks overlooking the Stono River, guests headed back to the front lawn of the plantation home where Gourmet Bay Catering had prepared an al fresco style dinner with scattered seating on the wraparound porches. Thankfully, photographer Shannon Michele had stolen the lovebirds away for a romantic portrait session showcasing not only their obvious infatuation with each other, but also Claiborne’s elegant lace Modern Trousseau gown and Pin-worthy bouquet accented with fluttering silk ribbons. Gorgeous and cheers to the lovely couple!
