10 Jun Amanda & Andrew {Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation}
When high school sweethearts Amanda and Andrew were on their first date in Durham, North Carolina, they found themselves almost instantaneously in love. Flash forward to September 2014, and the two were ready to tie the knot in the loveliest of fashions at the Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation. With “vintage romance” on the menu for their wedding day, Amanda and Andrew worked sweet Southern elements into the design—like a joggling board for signing in lieu of a guest book and a family-style dinner at long banquet tables lined with X-back chairs and topped with Mason jars filled with colorful blooms. Above, glowing crystal chandeliers hung from wooden rafters, creating a fun contrast of rustic and glam for the happy affair. Once the newlyweds and their family and friends had had their fill of Southern cuisine from Cafe Catering and delicious cakes and pies courtesy of DeClare Cakes, the dance floor filled as guests boogied to the sounds of Ultimate South Band. As night fell, it was time for the duo to say so-long to their guests, so they hopped aboard a boat and set sail down the creek. (How much more Charleston can it get?!) Cheers to the lovely couple!
