Hold on for a smidge more (OK, a day longer) and we’ll share our favorite runway photos from Saturday’s Charleston Weddings Spring Bridal Show, but in the meantime? With Heather Barrie and Mary Ruth Tribble at the helm, the crew from Presenting Sponsor Gathering Events stayed up till 3 a.m. in the morning after the Friday night festivities to flip the main tent in Marion Square from urbane ready-to-wear showcase hall to bridal nirvana. Swaths of fresh, leafy garlands colored the space in luscious green, garden-style lanterns hung from the eaves, and blooming spring branches sprang up from this and that corner. Add in treats from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, DeClare Cakes, Hamby Catering and Events, and Gourmet Bay, plus drinks from Spike and shopping, and delights awaited at every turn.
