11 Mar Stephanie & Andrew {Governor Thomas Bennett House}
Get ready because this slate-hued wintery wedding is about to take your breath away. After years of dating, Andrew asked Stephanie to marry him while they were on a post-date dog walk, and after he slipped a gorgeous pear-shaped diamond ring on her finger, he surprised her yet again with a flight that very night from Chicago to Charleston. There, their families and friends were waiting to greet them in the airport for a entire weekend of celebrating. Wow! On a sunny yet brisk November day, Stephanie said “I do” to Andrew in a Catholic mass ceremony at Stella Maris surrounded by loved ones and a troop of bridesmaids in LulaKate frocks. After snapping some marsh-side portraits in her Essense of Australia and fur stole with photographer Jennings King, Stephanie and her new hubby headed downtown to the Governor Thomas Bennett House where the loveliest of receptions awaited. Flawlessly designed by Katie Poole of The Burlap Elephant, the courtyard celebration featured a draped tent, lantern style chandeliers, silky white linens, and mountains of blooms that overflowed from mercury glass vessels. With party masters like Squeeze OnSite, Salthouse Catering, Tiger Lily Weddings, and The Finesse Band on deck, this wedding was guaranteed to be equal parts delicious, fun, and gorgeous! Cheers to Stephanie and Andrew on their gorgeous Charleston celebration!
