23 Jan Emily & Brian {Historic Rice Mill}
Upon Emily and Brian’s date night arrival at Cru Café, the host apologetically notified the College of Charleston grads that they must have overbooked—but there was an available table upstairs. The duo was led to the landing, where a rose-petaled table for two and chilled bottle of champagne awaited (we’ll take a table upstairs, too, please!). Brian proposed on the spot, says Emily, “And I said, ‘Yes!’” she laughs. As romantic as that was, the Mount Pleasant residents’ ensuing April wedding at the Historic Rice Mill downtown amped up spring romance in the South even more. While the skies might have been on the gray side, between Emily’s lively hued bouquet from Country & Lace Florist, her Modern Trousseau beauty of a gown, and an especially infatuated groom (check out Brian lovin’ on his new Mrs. after the ceremony), everything Hunter McRae captured was rosey as can be. Just peek for yourself. Also? Be sure to note the duo’s formal DIY guest seating chart—if Emily has an Etsy shop, we’re so there! Last, just when we thought we’d saw it all, we caught glimpse of the back of her dress—woah, a romantic deep V with a bow for a finishing touch? We’re all for it!
