12 Jan Brittany & Griffin {Boals Farm}
Let’s get the week started right with a darling couple and a peek at a gorgeous new Charleston wedding venue. Brittany and Griffin said “I do” in the shade of the giant oak trees of the Stables at Boals Farm, a secluded family farm tucked off Clements Ferry Road in the Wando area. While the elements, its stable, paddocks, “prep” cottage, and sundry tin-roofed out buildings, are decidedly rustic, the brother-sister team who runs the place keeps everything immaculate—in fact, it’s so picturesque The Ivy League Farmer was filmed there this past fall. The sum total setting added up to storybook ceremony (styled by Lauren Miller of ELM Events) that was equal parts laidback and flawless and a raise-the-roof al fresco reception made all the better with eats from Café Catering and soft bistro lights strung overhead. Add a jewel-tone color palette seen in everything from the bridesmaids gowns to lush blooms, linens, and the ribbon tying Brittany’s bouquet and the whole affair was picture-perfect. Thank you, Brittany and Griffin, for turning us on to this great “new” space, and for sharing your special day with us, and thanks to photographer CarolineRo, too, who documented every last bit. Lovely all around, and just the thing to brighten this rainy Monday.
