Today’s wedding is the epitome of laidback Lowcountry wonderfulness. Valerie and Dustin, who met in a college rugby match, knew that they wanted to begin their marriage with their toes in the sand of their favorite beach. So on a sunny day last October, the two exchanged vows in a sweet ceremony on Folly Beach before hopping into a vintage Mercedes Benz and cruising to their reception at nearby Bowens Island Restaurant. The rustic seafood establishment was perfect for their casual fête, which featured tunes from DJ Randy Kasten, fresh-as-it-gets food like oysters and Lowcountry boil from the Bowens Island kitchen, and sweeping sunset views over King Flats Creek. We love how Valerie and Dustin stayed true to themselves for a wedding day that captured their fun-loving selves to a T!
