For the first time ever, we are having a bad day on TWR. With deep sadness we have learned that one of our favorite photographers, Tracy Turpen, passed away in Asheville. Her body of work, a phenomenal collection of iconic images that are rife with emotion. It has been a pleasure to feature a number of her weddings. More over, it was a true honor to have known her. Tracy found beauty everywhere. One of her many gifts was her brilliant work as a photographer and sharing that beauty with the world. She will be undoubtably and irreplaceably missed.

our heartfelt prayers go out to tracy’s family, her little boy, and her fiance. she was way too young to leave.
So sad to hear of tracy’s passing. It is a huge loss to our community and she will be sorely missed.
My heart goes out to her family. such a loss of beautiful talent and beautiful life.
So incredibly sad to hear of tracy’s passing. I had the opportunity to work with her on this event that is highlighted. Her family will be in my prayers!
Such a tragedy. I’d seen her work here and on other sites (as well as on her own, accompanied by french tunes), and I can imagine she was as vibrant in person as her breathtaking images convey. My heart aches for her son, fiance and family.
Although I didn’t know Tracy, I am so sad to hear that she is gone. Yet, her images still make me smile.
I’m stunned and so sad – I loved Tracy’s work, and followed her story. My heart is breaking for her little boy tonight…
I miss her dearly. I was her intern for 2010 and she taught me a lot more than how to take a photo. The photography world has lost a gem.
the community indeed prospered because of tracy’s vision. An inspiration to us all. she is sadly missed to never be replaced, rememberedvividly for setting the bar for so many of us.
