It seems like just yesterday that the very first issue of Smitten launched — we gathered the most gorgeous inspiration we could find, told the stories we wanted to tell, crossed our fingers and pushed it live.Looking back now, what a beautiful year it has been! For our Anniversary Issue, we went into true celebration mode, kicking up our heels and popping the champagne. From Mexico to Scotland, Tahiti to Shanghai, we packed our bags and went around the world for adventure and inspiration — eating, drinking, shopping and exploring, determined to experience these places in full color. Our Anniversary Issue is a nod to the places we’ve been, but also a symbol of what’s possible, where we’ll be next. In just one year, we’ve gained millions of readers like you, expanded our presence across the globe, and most recently, joined the exclusive group of inspiration sources for Lover.ly — read all about it in our sit-down with founder Kellee Kahlil (A Simple Idea).
After six stunning issues, all I can say is thank you. My devotion and gratitude is to our readers and, of course, to my incredible team. It’s moments like these that I feel the need to pinch myself, like I’m living in a fairytale. But based on these pages, maybe I am.
