Lindsay & Alexander | Lowndes Grove Plantation

Lindsay & Alexander | Lowndes Grove Plantation

During a Sunday Funday at Charleston dive bar Burns Alley Tavern, Lindsay and Alexander were introduced by his cousin. Completely smitten, Alexander followed up by sending Lindsay a bouquet of flowers “just because,” which (duh) led to a date, which led to more dates until the two ventured to Colorado for a romantic ski trip and he popped the question with her grandmother’s engagement ring. For Lindsay, Lowndes Grove Plantation was a must for their wedding setting (she tells us she had been dreaming of being a bride there since she was 19). Dressing the site in rich fall, gold, and blush colors, Sweetgrass Social created the perfect Lowcountry soireé for the two. But it wasn’t all curled pinkies and proper toasts, not with Alexander as the groom. When the band launched into “Biggie Smalls”, he hopped on stage and rapped the entire song.
