When Allie, who grew up in a military family, said ‘Yes’ to her beau, Eric, a military man in his own right, the two agreed that with their families scattered all over the country, our lovely Southern city would be the ideal place for all to gather for a wedding. With Duvall Events in charge of not only the delicious eats, but also the design and planning of the event, their Boone Hall Plantation celebration was incredible! Allie stepped through an elegantly draped doorway on the Cotton Dock to meet Eric and share their vows. Afterward, they stole away with photographer Amy-Marie Kay for a series of gorgeous newlywed portraits throughout the plantation grounds. A short bit later, everyone reconvened inside the Cotton Dock for sentiment sharing (guests wrote sweet words of love on patches of fabric that would soon be made into a “guestbook quilt” for the happy couple), dining under bistro lights strung from the rafters, and dancing. By the looks of things, both the couple and their choice of locale alike were matches made in heaven.
